Suboxone
Treatment
Suboxone treatment is indicated for pain management and also replacement in addiction programs.
Suboxone® is
the trade name of an opioid drug formulation that
combines the two drugs, Buprenorphine and Naloxone.
Suboxone treatment for narcotic analgesia
relieves moderate to severe pain.
Although also indicated for pain management throughout
the surgical procedure period, Suboxone treatment
finds its most common use in opiate addiction
programs—despite the fact that the drug
itself contains opiates.
Patients dependent on Suboxone treatment typically
start to self-medicate (at higher doses) following:
- A doctor’s original orders for legitimate
prescription
- Prolonged management of back, surgical or chronic
pain
- Pain relief treatment for some other physical
disorder.
Or,
- An opiate addiction treatment program that
substitutes Suboxone in place of a more potent
narcotic medication.
In the latter case, with time, patients
often come to feel as dependent on the replacement
Suboxone treatment as they did on the original
opiate drug from which they sought to detoxify.
Many patients now seeking Suboxone
treatment for dependency had begun with low
dosage, but later increased to non-medical levels,
as current prescription abuse trends in the U.S.
indicates. (i)
Dependent patients in need of detox
for Suboxone treatment regularly continue to self‑medicate:
- Just to avoid painful withdrawal.
Either a premature transition to Suboxone treatment
as a replacement drug, or discontinuation in its
supply, can precipitate traumatic withdrawal syndrome. Withdrawal
symptoms typically indicate dependency.
The Waismann Method of Rapid Detoxification
Along with the medical community, the Waismann
Method of Rapid Detoxification recognizes Suboxone
dependency as a treatable, brain-chemical imbalance
caused by synthetic opiate intake. Prolonged narcotic
use causes the brain to stop producing
natural painkillers, or endorphins. Misuse
over time causes dependency.
And dependency untreated by Suboxone detoxification
causes addiction.
The
Waismann Method for Suboxone Detoxification offers
a humane and effective procedure for patients
dependent on narcotic Suboxone treatment.
Rapid detoxification reverses the patient’s
physical opiate dependency without unnecessary
fear, shame, or suffering.
Patients who undergo the Waismann Method of rapid
Suboxone detox state that our anesthesia-assisted
procedure spares them the painful, agonizing
symptoms caused by withdrawal.
Post Suboxone Treatment
Rapid Suboxone detox cleanses the brain’s
receptors of tenacious Suboxone opiates and eliminates
conscious cravings from withdrawal while the patient
is under anesthesia. The patient has literally
slept through physical withdrawal with no recollection
of it upon awaking.
After the Waismann Method for Rapid Detoxification,
the patient’s body is released from opiates
in the Buprenorphine-based Suboxone treatment. Our
patients can then resume life Suboxone-free, and
opiate-free.
